I can't believe it has been so long since i blogged! Time just passes so quickly and 24 hours in a day is not long enough to complete the essential family / life tasks nevermind any extras! Oh well....
Exciting things have been happening. Tor had her puppies in May and they are gorgeous! I know i am biased, but they really are! I am so so pleased with the homes we have got for them. For a number of reasons we still have a little Tri boy looking for a home - he is a stunner and i am very tempted but the time is just not right with Adam being so little. He has fab markings and is a confident happy chap so if you know anyone who maybe interested please tell them!
I will get to train 3 of the pups as not only is Gill and Jan having one now so is Jo! She has gone to the dark side :-) exciting times for all involved. Check out the facebook page for pics of them all.
Other news is that Lily ran her first ever full course on her own with no adult at Golden Valley - such a confident happy run it was amazing to watch. We just need to have more junior classes to enter that are not YKC where you have to be 6years old!
We have also just done the first ever SWAT boot camp - it was a huge success and i was so pleased with the progress dogs made. It was eventful as always, and tiring but i would definitely do it again. Just need to fine tune some of it - especially timings so Jo and I get to eat our lunch :-) It was ;lovely to hear people saying over and over " oh Jo just told me that" - so handlers were being given consistent info all weekend - no swapping methods from one trainer to another. Great fun!
As a family we are all ok. We camped at Wye Valley and decided not to do that again this year! It was too much like hard work with Adam, so roll on next year when he is a little older and it should be easier (fingers crossed!) The dogs have been doing well. Maid continues to improve - her confidence is building and she is beginning to turn alot better after all the grid work I have been doing with her. We are still training every run and that will continue for the rest of this season. Raq is amazing - I love running him! I just need to be fit enough to either run or speak for the whole course! And also to be able to remember the whole course!! Boo continues to amaze us at 10 and half - she got into the Champ final at Thames, we just didnt realise and had left! whoops!! Kye is plodding along happy to be out and about or sleeping. Glee is enjoying her training and we are making progress with her weaves and dog walk - its slow progress as she tires so quickly with the heat - so she is being clipped very short this week - not how i like her to look but she needs to be able to work!
So that's us in a nut shell! SWAT members have been getting some great results which is lovely to see - thank you to all of them for their support at shows. Hope to see you at training next week xx
