  1. We have had a busy two weeks and i am actually quite glad that we have no more shows for a few weeks.
Blackdown was great fun - lovely to see so many people who we hadn't seen for a while - our agility was fun - so so close, Raq was working Fab even if Doug had forgotten how to weave! We got to catch up with his sister and Jo who rescued him which was lovely.
Honiton this weekend was again lots of fun - lovely to see everyone - socially it was fun. Again the agility was glad but no rosettes for us - really wasn't helped by me feeling sick all weekend - no i am not pregnant!! Thankyou to everyone who helped run our ring on Sunday including looking after Lily (Emily!) Well done to everyone who has had places over the last 2 weeks - info on the news page.  Special mention to Sam and Heidi who did their first show - well done - i promise it is never as scarey again!

I have also been busy trying to find a new venue for our Xmas meal - hard when we need to be able to seat 40 and we don't want it to be too expensive. All sorted so please let me know if you can attend on the 4th Dec - i need money by 10th Oct.

So weekend training starts this coming week and i am really looking forward to it - will be nice to see the dogs grow over the winter months and the excitement build to next season. The 2011 dates will go on the vents page in the next week or so, please book early as they filled within 2 weeks last time and i don't want to disapoint anyone.

Puppy news - i have definitely got the bitch i wanted - known in the litter as Bo peep, i'm very excited about getting her at the end of Oct. Name has finally been decided on.....Maid. so just the KC name to go - more suggestions please. So far 'Harrjak Maid in Devon' or 'Harjak Maid you Look'...........

So see you all soon - if you have any spare time Fri afternoon or Sat then i amsure Daz would love to see you at the barn as he has 40 tonnes of sand to shovel! Fingers crossed it all goes according to plan!

  2. Firstly i must apologise for the lack of updates recently - D has done the news page with everyones success' on but i have been slack! Well done to everyone!

So exciting news..........we are having a puppy!! ;-) hooray!! I went to see them yesterday, they are 2 weeks and so so cute. We are having a Tri bitch from the latest Harrjaks litter. As i have managed to step in as someone has had to pull out i wont have a choice of which of the 3 girls i get. They are all very pretty so i am not worried - but do admit i have a favourite:-) ....i am not saying though as i don't want to tempt fate! So watch this space! (or visit the Harrjaks website that has lots of photos) So come Nov chaos will be worse in the Keating household!

We have no idea of a name so all help gratefully received. We want a short one syllable name ie Kye, Boo, Raq, Doug, we don't want it to sound like the others names and it can't sound like Kick (my turn away command - i can't get used to back all over again!) We like the name to form part of their KC name if poss and would like that to link to Raq and Ruin so ideas of Chaos!!!

So enough of puppies!Exceptto sya we had Trick (Vickys Raq pup) to stay for a week and he was lovely! So like Raq - such a softy but so fast!

Since my last entry we have been to Prestbury park and Gillingham.
I really enjoyed Prestbury our last camp of the year - helped by bread and butter chocolate pudding! D judged the Sat so it wasmanic with all the dogs and Lily but i loved the runs - Raq and Boo worked so well - i got a 3rd and a 1st in G7 Agility with Boo ;-) Raq was such a star he worked fab all weekend, only one chaotic run, andone where we got e'd at 18 as i sent him the wrong way - i thought i was clear!! ;-(
Doug was naughty and wasn't interested but that was more to do with him being in trouble all week for beating Trick up!

Gillingham was strange as we judt did the one day and we had left Lily and Kye at home with the grandparents- Kye has had an op to remove a lump - stitches came out this morningand all seems well.
I fell over in the first class of the day and hurt my legs - Raq went on to get the weave entry and complete the weaves with me yelling 'go!' despite being on the floor! Doug switched back on and got a 1st and 3rd!

We should have been at Bromsgrove today but decided to have a day off as we are shattered! So on to Blackdown tomorrow - Dougs sisters are coming to see him - scarey! Am really looking forward to seeing everyone as we haven't seen some of our friends since KC.

So now we are up to date! 90% of our competing members have moved up grades this year - thats quite an achievement - Well done to all of you!!
    See you tomorrow!!
